Q. Please introduce yourself…who is CycJouzy, what does he do?
A. CycJouzy is a multimedia production brand that I established in 2014 just before I commenced with my tertiary education. I do graphics, videography and photography. I usually focus on advertising and branding where I emphasize on these 3.It happened that after I established the brand, I went on to study multimedia at Limkokwing University.

Q. Of  all the different career paths you could have taken, you chose multimedia. Why multimedia?
A. I don’t really perceive it as “a career path I took”. Its not a career, it is a lifestyle to me. I don’t see the need to wake up every morning, dress up and go to a luxury office while I have passion for taking photos and designing graphics.

Q. From 2014 until now, the CycJouzy brand have been experiencing so much growth. How did the swift growth come about?
A. True, it has really grown. It’s all about passion, hard work and believing in yourself.

Q. Do you work alone or do you have a team working behind the scenes?
A. When I started the brand, it was a one man thing but I am considering expanding it and bringing a team on board next year after I graduate. I do all the work alone for now but I engage a helping hand sometimes when I need assistance. All in all, I do 90% of the work alone.

Q. Your brand and work is now internationally recognised, who have you worked with in an international level?
A. I have recently worked with Lungisa from South Africa and other small growing businesses from there also.

Q. In your own perspective, do you think the multimedia industry in Botswana has grown compared to the time you entered into the industry?
A. It has grown and it seems like this industry is the future because everyday a new company is being opened and multimedia is needed for branding and advertising.

Q. Where do you see CycJouzy the brand in the next coming years?
A. I want to see myself bringing change and creating employment for other people, I also foresee working with more international acts.

Q. Besides multimedia production, is there anything else that you do?
A. I am a member of a hip hop duo-group called God Gang. Actually, this multimedia passion started there because we always had to get people to design graphics for us and it was really costly. That’s when I took it upon me to teach myself how to do them.

Q. So who is Thebe Kegomoditswe? How was his upbringing?
A. Thebe Kegomoditswe is a young man who grew up in a township at Selibe-Phikwe. I am the last born in the family, I have two elder sisters and an elder brother. We grew up without a silver spoon in our mouth and that’s what made me push to become the person I am today.

Q. Do you have anyone you look up to?
A. I don’t have a specific person I can say I look up to. I always source something inspiring from anyone who is succeeding and doing great things, whether they are in the multimedia industry or not.

Q. You inspire a lot of people. What advice can you give to someone out there who is aspiring to be like you in the future?
A. The advice I always give people is that you have to follow your dreams and create a market for yourself.

Q. In conclusion, do you have any favourite quote that you live up to?
A.    I actually have a lot, but the one I can remember right now is that “Your background is not the reason your back is on the ground.”

“There is a difference between working fast and being in a rush. Creativity cannot be rushed...”
