NOT ON MY WATCH
As if barking instructions to her is not enough
She gets beat up until her pulses show palpitations and get womb complications
Left with broken limbs and hips dislocated
Blue eyes, red eyes, camouflaged eyes all in the name of "I"s..
"I do this..I did that..I bring this home"
And she thinks to herself that it’s nothing an "ice" can't fix
But when she looks in the mirror and forces a smile with her chipped lips
She realizes that she can't take another fist
Enough of that "enough is enough" cliché
A woman is more than average, she is the Holy Grail
But many times we fail to realise that..
She is a Yi Dynasty porcelain piece that has no price tag
Regardless of gender, no one deserves a broken back or always living with hurt
A woman is a harbour, a man is a boat
When the boat sinks, she tries by all means to keep it afloat
A shelter where your burdens you can offload
In return for this she still gets her emotions bruised, gets physical abused and her body used instead..
Who do we expect to listen to us while we leave her ears impaired?
Who do we expect to be attracted to while we leave her skin pale
And her heart in pain?
