Battle Rap has seen tremendous growth over the past decade. From battling on street corners for street cred to a new possibility of pursuing it as a career on a main stage. Just like any other sport, battle rap is aggressively competitive and territorial in nature. My hood v Your Hood. My City v Your City. My Country v Your Country! This event is nothing short of that very element of dominance. Both countries put up the best of their lethal wordsmiths to go head to head in what will be another Southern Africa's most prolific and historic moment in battle rap.

Chedza Moon v Banyezus is the FIRST ever all female rap battle to go down on BW soil! I'm more than excited to see this one cause its definitely going in the history books!

If you were to log into the Warzone Barracks Facebook group, you would feel the tension rising in the atmosphere between Botswana and Lesotho. Tension is so thick you can cut through it. But then again thats the spirit of Battle Rap, intimidation tactics hoping it will disorient opponents. I am personally excited to see what this great card has to offer. It will be interesting to see the clash of cultures. It is often in the very minute and minuscule observations of an outsider that you get a refreshing perception about yourself. Battle rap as an aggressive art form gives battlers an unapologetic, uncensored and untainted voice to utterly express things for what really are.
